ABOUT THE PARK

A dedicated group of volunteers called the Friends of Greenwood Park (FOGP) have worked with Seattle Parks and Recreation staff to develop a new park on the site of the former Otani Greenhouses at 87th and Fremont Avenue North.

Acreage: 2.22

HISTORY

This 2.2 acre park was previously a commercial nursery and greenhouse for many years, and was acquired by Seattle Parks and Recreation in November 1999 through the Seattle Open Space Program. The Greenwood community is very involved in the development of the park.
