What is the Opportunity Fund?

The 2008 Parks and Green Spaces Levy set aside a $15 million Opportunity Fund for community-initiated projects. This fund can be used to buy new park land; develop a park, trail or garden; or improve an existing park, trail or garden. The Parks and Green Spaces Levy Oversight Committee will take nominations from the public on potential projects and make recommendations to the City Council on which projects should get funding. The timing for Opportunity Funding and the applications will be posted on this site.
