The Office of Intergovernmental Relations (OIR) promotes the interests of the City of Seattle with local, regional, state, federal and international governments. By providing leadership in these areas, OIR pursues legislative priorities of the Mayor and the City Council and promotes the policies and goals of Seattle's city government.

OIR is part of the Mayor's Executive Department and serves all City departments, the City Council and the Mayor.


Federal Government Representation

The city of Seattle, invites qualified firms to submit responses for federal government representation on transportation and other infrastructure issues. Services required by the City include representation before Members of Congress, federal agencies and officials, and with relevant interest groups, coalitions, and associations. The firm should have a Washington, DC office and direct experience providing federal representation to municipal clients on transportation and infrastructure issues.
