Welcome to the Office of Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels

Since being elected in 2001, my staff and I have worked to make a difference in people’s lives. The Northwest has seen tough economic times in the last several years, but our approach is working and our economy is showing signs of a rebound. We’re better off than we were three years ago, and there’s a lot to be optimistic about.
I hope this website becomes a resource for you and your family. On it, you’ll find the latest news and resource pages about issues in the City like the Alaskan Way Viaduct and my Environmental Agenda. You can get to know my staff and see what we’ve accomplished since taking office.
And throughout the site, you’ll see how we’re making progress on my four priorities:

Keep Our Neighborhoods Safe,
Create Jobs and Opportunity for All, and
Build Strong Families and Healthy Communities.
These priorities reflect the values we all share, and by being focused on them, all city departments are better serving the citizens of our City.
