Neighborhood Development

Department of Planning and Development

Develops, administers, and enforces standards for land use, design, construction, and housing within the city limits. The department is also responsible for long-range planning in Seattle.

Seattle Office of Housing

Invests in and promotes the development and preservation of affordable housing that offers opportunity for individuals, families and communities to thrive.

Seattle Housing Authority

A public corporation governed by a seven-member citizen commission. SHA provides affordable housing to nearly 23,000 people in the City of Seattle.
