Northwest Board Members

Jean Morgan
Position: Community Representative
Term: First
Term expires: April 4, 2010
 

Jean Morgan is a licensed Architect in Washington State. She is principal of Morgan Design Group, and architectural design firm. For the past 25 years she has provided architectural services that have included all phases of design from conceptual plans to construction documents, code research, permit expediting, acting as client liaison and project management. The types of projects that Jean has worked on ranges from hundreds of single family homes to several commercial tenant improvement projects to numerous multi family housing projects for families and seniors. She is a Block Watch Captain, was on the Broadview Community Council and was Viewlands PTA President. She holds a BA in Architecture from the University of Washington. 


Bill Singer
Position: Design Professional Representative
Term: First
Term expires: April 4, 2009
 

Bill Singer has over 20 years of experience as an architect including the last 11 years as a Senior Architect with Environmental Works, where he focuses on designing affordable housing and other community based projects. He is a LEED accredited professional and has extensive experience incorporating sustainable features into his projects. He is a board officer of the Washington Housing Equity Alliance, a non-profit housing developer. He has a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington.

 


Joseph Giampietro
Position: Development Representative
Term: Second
Term expires: April 4, 2010
 

Joseph Giampietro is a housing director for JBDG, an architecture firm, where he manages multi-family projects. He previously worked as a developer, architect, and land use planner. As a volunteer, he led the boulevard improvements to 8th Ave NW in 1995 and was a member of the Webster Playground development team with Groundswell NW. He is a registered architect and landscape architect in Washington, and is a candidate for CCIM Designation in Commercial Real Estate. He has a Master of Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Architecture from Catholic University.

 

Guy Peckham
Position: Local Residential Representative
Term: Second
Term expires: April 4, 2010
 

Guy Peckham works as an architect for Bumgardner. He manages large multi-family and mixed-use projects from project inception through completion of construction. He also worked as a project architect for Baylis Architects. He is LEED certified and a registered architect. He founded The Clearwater School in North Seattle and served on the Wallingford Community Council. He has a BA in architecture and a BS in Architectural Studies from Washington State University.

 

Mark Brands
Position: Local Business Representative
Term: First
Term expires: April 4, 2009
 

As a landscape architect and urban planner Mark Brands has lived and worked in Hawaii, Seattle, San Francisco, Sydney, and Taipei. In 2000, he co-founded Site Workshop, a landscape architecture firm providing land planning, site planning and site specific design for a range of civic, institutional and commercial projects. Mark's past projects include the Olympic Village at the 2000 Sydney Games and the Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center. Mark and his family live in the Ballard neighborhood where he is actively involved in his son's schools and the Phinney Neighborhood Association. Mark holds a BS degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University.
